Description

Australian Beeswax

Our beeswax is a pure, highly refined natural wax delivered directly from the beekeepers in South Australia. The pale golden colour of the bees wax indicates a triple filtered wax of the highest quality. It is also free of impurities. Bees wax has a melting point of  62°C to 65°C. With its natural sweet honey fragrance, bees wax can be used alone when making candles or combined with other fragrances.

Bees wax is great for making pillar candles, lip balms, body butters and cosmetics. It can also be used as furniture polish, a lubricant for wooden items (windows and drawers) and to preserve patinas.

    I wanted the wax to put a non toxic coating on the outside of 2 bird boxes i purchased. I’m interested to see how the wax holds up through the summer. It went on well once I’d worked out a good system to keep it melted in the cold shed . Electric rice cooker worked brilliantly as a double boiler! Just waiting for tenants. Hopefully Eastern Rosella’s!
