Description
Polyester Laminating Resin is a general purpose resin for laminating with fibreglass cloth. To cure this resin it requires the addition of 1 – 2% MEKP Catalyst. It is not recommended that you work with this resin in temperatures below 15°C as it will not cure. It is also not recommended to work in temperatures above 30°C as it will cure too quickly and possibly crack.
Suitable release agents for use with Polyester Laminating Resin include
Liquid resin can be cleaned up with Acetone.
Polyester Laminating Resin contains a barrier additive which gives the cured laminate a tack-free surface.
Intervals between laminates should not exceed 48 hours unless the surface is abraded.
We recommend purchasing 100ml MEKP Catalyst for the 4kg tin of resin and we suggest the 500ml MEKP Catalyst for the 20kg pail of resin.
